Natural Mystic Sanctuary is part of an old tea estate. As well as tea there was already pepper, cinnamon, coffee, cloves, coconut, jackfruit, grapefruit and banana. In 2014 about 900 fruit, timber and medicinal trees were planted and are now mature enough to bear fruit. These include avocado, lime, mandarin, sour sop, papaya, rose apple, sri lankan cherry and different types of banana. We also enjoy the fruit from two different types of passion fruit and pineapple. We grow various different vegetables including sweet potato, several egg plant varieties, green beans, cassava/manioc, taro, winged beans and pumpkin. Also moringa - for it's leaves and 'drumsticks', aloe vera, chia seeds, amaranth, lemongrass, citronella, tulsi/holy basil, gotu kola, turmeric, ginger, cardamon, curry leaves, mukkunuwenna, polpala, kankun/asian water spinach, bitter gourd, dragon fruit, vanilla, chillies, thebu, neem, marigold, tiphili, rice, areca/betel nut.
